Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Finals, and Christmas Time!

This is the turkey I made for the first time! So yummy, and not as hard as I thought it would be!! I also tried this recipe that was for Crockpot Mashed Potatoes, but it was no good. It said just to put the potatoes on high for 2-3 hours and then mash them. They were very gluey, and didn't taste as great as I had hoped!
It was just Danny and I for Thanksgiving, and we were planning to go Black Friday shopping. We were going to go to Walmart, but thankfully I was able to get that deal online! A thanksgiving miracle (;
We went at 1 am to the Base Exchange. Danny was hoping for a 70 inch TV, but they only had 2! So he settled for a 50 inch, which I think is plenty big!
It was much calmer than any other big retailer, or so I thought until I made it over to the purses.. Women are crazy!

This past week was Finals week, and it wasn't as bad as I thought! I was prepared enough for my tests that I didn't worry too much, and one was open book, so that helped! (;
I was supposed to take my Intro to Computer Systems test on Friday, but when I arrived at the testing center they told me the teacher had closed the test! I was freaking out, and my teacher had already left campus so all I could do was email him and go home and freak out some more. The next day he emailed me back, and told me he would open the test for an hour on Monday morning for me to take. He told me he knew how hard I had worked in this class (It was not an easy class!), and he didn't want a misunderstanding to affect my grade. I'm definitely thankful for good teachers!

Danny and I are going home for Christmas, so he didn't want to get a tree. I did, so I scored one for free on the yard sale site! It's only 3 feet tall, but I love it!
I bought the ornaments at the dollar store, and the picture is actually a t-shirt box, so this tree only cost me $3!
The countdown sign is my favorite decoration! I got it at 2 Shabby Divas on Main St. here in Clovis! I recommend visiting them, they have very cute clothes, fun jewelry, and cute, vintage furniture! My favorite part was the dressing rooms. One of them had vintage pattern pieces pasted on the wall. It was adorable!
They also have yummy smelling candles and wax melts, and they're cheaper than Scentsy or Bath and Body Works, and they smell amazing! (:
